In fact, is there not an older song that speaks to the fact that “He is close as the mention of His name.”
He is not far off because He wants to be at our side, helping us as we come across what aggression is against us and our families. He is there to save us not only from eternal separation from Him, but also in our day-to-day experiences.
That is why we can corporately come into church on Sunday and publicly praise Him. Worship leaders are blessed when they find a response church that is able and willing to praise God and where they do not have to instill a spirit of sacrificial praise. It is our fear, our decision to glorify Him and our standing in awe of Him that brings up this spontaneous praise.
God does not despise, nor able to be disgusted by the affliction of the afflicted. He will not hide His face and He will hear every cry.
So praise Him for He is as close as the mention of His name.
