Was it only a dream?

What do you think when God promises you a nation too numerous than the stars in the sky and sand on the earth and you have no children when you are 100 or so years old?  Maybe its a dream.

What does one think when they are in northern India, fasting and praying for one soul to come into the light of the Kingdom of God because God called you to go to bring the good news?  After 40 years of mission work and not one soul had responded to the love of God, maybe he started to think that it was a voice in his own head?

It all seemed too good to be true?

We know what happened to Abraham, let me tell you about that missionary in northern India.  When he retired, a young couple came and took his place. In less than 5 years entire communities came to Christ.  In ten years, almost 1,000 people came to the saving knowledge of who Jesus was and in 15 years, genuine revival broke out.

There was laughing and singing, blessings.  All the other mission ministry were talking about them and how wonderful God was – everyone was happy.  This couple had only one testimony – it was one missionary who died so that all these people could have life.  It was one missionary who fasted and prayed so much for a people who God wanted to call sons and daughters of the most High.  It was one missionary who agonized and called upon God to respond and whose tears watered a harvest that no could have dreamed about.

God, do it again.  Bring rains to our drought-stricken lives.  So those who planted their crops in despair will shout at the harvest.  So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.
